The difference we make

In 2016, Giving World:

  • Prevented over 2,278 tonnes of CO2e by diverting company donations from waste;
  • Helped over 250,000 vulnerable people in the UK;
  • Partnered with a donor and distribution network of over 6,400 companies, charities and community groups registered, giving and receiving goods.


During 2015-16 we worked with Pro Bono Economics (PBE) to help us measure the impact of receiving essential life items. PBE matched us with economic consultants Frontier Economics. Frontier have completed their analysis and prepared a report. Below is an extract from their conclusions:

"Giving World's impact is wide ranging and goes beyond simple monetary terms... Because of the nature of the goods distributed and due to the characteristics of the Charity's beneficiaries, the goods donated do not only have the potential to improve people's welfare but also their life chances and can reduce their feelings of isolation with a positive ultimate impact on well-being."
