Thank you

While we hurtle towards Christmas at break-neck speed, planning, buying, consuming, imbibing, can you imagine being the child not deemed 'good enough' for Santa to stop his sleigh and pour gifts down the chimney.

Not a single gift, no tree, no Christmas dinner.

I know, unimaginable isn't it?

With your support this Christmas we have been able to give almost 20,000 children and close to 100,000 vulnerable people a joyous Christmas, filled with toys, new clothes and festive food.

Without your support Christmas day would have just been another grinding day of poverty.

The Joseph Rowntree Foundation reported last week that Britain goes into Brexit with half a million more children living in poverty... the UK, the 6th richest nation in the industrialised world!

Overall, one in five of the UK population (22%) are in poverty - 14.3 million people. Of these, 8.2 million are working-age adults, 4.1 million are children and 1.9 million are pensioners.

In a typical classroom of 30 children, nine are now living in poverty. That has tripled in the last 5 years.

Your support has never been more vital, and so we take this time to say THANK YOU. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, Have a great break.

Thank you from all us at Giving World.
